The Moon Reminded Me I Was Never Behind

A Moon Devotion with Rev. Joslyn

There are days I wake up unsure if I’m doing enough.
Enough healing. Enough serving. Enough simply being.
And just when I feel like I’ve fallen out of rhythm,
I look up—and there she is.
The moon,
soft and steady in her becoming.

She has never rushed her fullness.
Never forced her light.
She simply follows her rhythm—and returns again.

I think of Ma, my great-grandmother,
who taught me without words how to trust what comes back around.
She would sit outside under the moonlight,
a quiet peace in her gaze.
I never understood it then,
but I know now—she was listening to the rhythm of the earth.
She was letting the light in, even in darkness.

Now I do the same.

🌑 A New Moon approaches on July 24th.
She invites us not to hustle—but to reset.
To pause. To plant a new prayer.

And so I’m gathering again, in sacred circle.
With women who are ready to remember their rhythm.
To breathe. To let go.
To begin, softly.
